Andrey Golubov named one of top 40 under 40 business school professors

Andrey Golubov, an assistant professor of finance at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, has been named one of the top 40 under 40 business school professors of 2020 by the website Poets&Quants.

More than 160 professors from business schools around the world were nominated for the eighth annual edition of the list. Finalists were rated on their research and teaching.

Golubov, who has taught “Mergers & Acquisitions” in the Rotman MBA program since 2016, is the only professor from a Canadian business school to make the list.

One of Golubov’s nominators noted that he “is an expert in mergers & acquisitions, bringing together practical knowledge with theory to produce top quality finance research. He is also a well-respected teacher who uses case-based teaching effectively to help students understand the mergers & acquisitions landscape, including market trends, deal execution, and valuation.”

Earlier this year, Golubov was the recipient of the Bank of Canada’s Governor’s Award, which provides financial support to academics who are recognized for their expertise and research in areas important to the Bank's core functions.
