Three members of the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering community have been honoured by Ontario Professional Engineers Awards.
Presented by the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OPSE), the annual awards recognize engineers who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and their communities.
They include Emily Moore, professor and director of the Troost Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering, who garnered OPSE's Management Medal in recognition of innovative management practices contributing to an engineering achievement.
Alumni Mike Branch and Nancy Hill were recognized with the Engineering Excellence in Industry Medal and Entrepreneurship Medal, respectively.
“These outstanding engineers have excelled as innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders in their organizations and in the engineering community,” says Christopher Yip, dean of the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering. “On behalf of the faculty, I congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition.”
