Welcome! Watch U of T President Meric Gertler greet students, faculty and staff as new term begins

The University of Toronto is quiet now, but in a week it will be bustling with tens of thousands of students rushing to class, studying at the library and cycling across campus.

In a video message marking the start of classes on Sept. 6, U of T President Meric Gertler welcomes new and returning students, staff and faculty to U of T and its three campuses.

“U of T is among the world's great universities because of you, the students, faculty and staff on our three campuses in this exciting and diverse urban region,” he says.
