U of T Professor Molly Shoichet, Canada Research Chair in Tissue Engineering, will talk about the power of regenerative medicine in an online lecture in partnership with Maclean’s tonight.

The lecture, which is part of Maclean's Perimeter Public Lecture, begins at 7 p.m.

Shoichet, who is a professor in U of T's department of chemical engineering and the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, will talk about where we're at with stem cell research, how blindness can be averted with the transplanting and reparation of cells in the back of the eye, and the future of regenerative medicine.

Viewers can ask Shoichet questions before and during the lecture via Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #piLIVE.
