Convocation 2014: best social media moments (week three)
Posing with Frye's statue, taking selfies with the chancellor and of course jumping for joy
More than 12,500 undergraduate and graduate students crossed the stage at Convocation Hall this month to become the University of Toronto's newest alumni.
And they shared the moment with family, friends, mentors and classmates – not only in person but through Twitter and Instagram.(Follow U of T on Instagram.)
During June friends, families and graduands were able to check out the Social Wall in Convocation Plaza – a stream of content from Twitter and Instagram that pulls from posts tagged #UofTGrad14 or #UofT – projected on one of the screens.
But for those who couldn't make it to the big white tent in Kings College Circle, U of T's marketing and online communications coordinator, Kristina Doyle, shared some of the social media highlights for one of the University's biggest celebrations of the year. (See her picks from week one. And her picks from week two.)
