CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS

CAN's research is focused in two areas.

  • Wafer-Scale Methodologies (WSM) for forming nanostructures suitable for developing quantum functional nanodevices.
The WSM consists of three sub-projects.
    • WSM-1, Nanostructures formed by Critically Tuned Self-assembly Processes
Professors Geoffrey Ozin and John Polanyi
    • WSM-2, Nanostructure Formation due to Self-assembly, driven by Lithographically-defined Sub-structures
Professors Geoffrey Ozin, John Polanyi and Harry Ruda
    • WSM-3, Nanostructures resulting from Material Deposition and/or Processing following Lithographic Patterning
Professors Ian Mitchell, Harry Ruda and Stefan Zukotynski
  • Exploring Emergent Phenomena (EP) in interacting and non-interacting nanosystems suitable for developing nanodevices.
The EP program consists of eight sub-projects.
