What is a Workgroup?

From the perspective of WTS, a workgroup is a collection of people with a common requirements who need to use information technology more effectively. In some cases a workgroup can be quite large, such as Facilities and Services with dozens of computers and users spread all over campus. In other cases it can be very small: the office of BIO150 consists of 4 computers and a fileserver. In all cases defining a workgroup is left to individual organizations within the university.
