What Hides in the Leaves

She was
The concubine
They called her Eve
The first woman
Well what am I?
A misnomer?
A lil' known fact?

Adam's first wife.
His better half.
The best of him
Wrapped in beauty
Draped in God's grace.

She like a beast
Waiting beneath
A willow tree
Seeking knowledge
Instead she meets me

I am swinging
Waiting, tempting,
In this tree
Preying upon her
Insecurities
Of being only
Human.

I am more than
A woman
More like him
Made with him
Not to serve him

Then, I pretend
To be her friend,
But I looked more
Like a snake
With sweet smiles
And fruit
I ensured her fate.
