Fresh Cup of Tea

Before shabbat dinner
Bibi stood in front of
The copper samovar
Watching the water
Boiling and steaming
Preparing a large b'rrad
Of fresh Earl-Grey tea
Then sitting down
At the kitchen table
Drinking gravely and
Devoutly one glass after
Another never stopping
Til she was thoroughly sweaty
