UTUI's projects have focused on the development and implementation of Master Plans and Local Development Plans, local capacity development, and the environment. Projects have also been developed in the areas of decentralisation and local government reform. UTUI has been successfully implementing the participatory capacity development approach to its projects, which also applies the iterative approach and results-based management techniques.
