Summer Studies at TYP
TYP students who wish to do so may take undergraduate courses for credit during the summer session following their first enrolment in the programme, providing that certain conditions have been met by the beginning of April. These conditions may vary from case to case but will always include an interim academic record during the winter session which satisfies the Registrar, or an officer designated by the Registrar, that the student will succeed both in obtaining our own recommendation for degree studies and in successfully completing the summer courses selected. Ordinarily an interim academic average in or above the B range will be considered a good indication of admissibility to summer courses.
Permission to take summer courses will only be given on an individual basis, and will be at the discretion of the TYP Registrar or the Registrar's delegate. Courses successfully completed during the summer session after completion of the regular TYP programme will carry credit applicable to degree studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science. In many cases they will also carry credit transferable to other degree-granting institutions; however, such transfers are entirely at the discretion of those institutions.
