EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT

In the Innis Cafe: "1001 Nights of Storytelling." Every Friday night since 1978, storytellers and listeners have been gathering in downtown Toronto for an open evening of oral stories. Each Friday night is unique, and everyone is welcome to come and listen, come and tell. Suggested donation: $5. 8pm - 10:30pm. For more information visit www.1001fridays.org

 

July 10

The McLuhan Legacy Network presents a celebration of the centenary birth of Marshall McLuhan with a special celebration programme and the presentation of the Gutenberg Galaxy Award for Literature to John Ralston Saulfor his Career Achievements in Literature & His Contribution to the Culture of Canada.Doors open at 6:30 pm. July 23

A professional storyteller from Korea will be coming to Canada to showcase her performance as an independent production. The event begins at 7:30pm and tickets are $15 for adults and 10$ for Seniors and those under 18 years of age. For more information visit here.
