The Toronto Film Society presents a double bill starting at 7:30pm. Troubled Waters (1936, 74 min, Director: Albert Parker. With Alastair Sim, James Mason, Virginia Cherrill). A poacher leads a government agent along a twisting trail. One of Mason's first roles –a very rare film presentation. Followed by: They Were Sisters (1945, 108 min, Director: Arthur Crabtree. With James Mason, Phyllis Calvert, Dulcie Gray). The life stories of three sisters are marked by their distinct personalities and the men they married after the First World War. At a reunion 18 years later, two of them realize that the third is in the tortuous grasp of her sadistic husband. Mason is at his darkest. Visit here for more details.

Toronto Nepali Film Festival returns to Innis Town Hall. Second Toronto Nepali Film Festival will feature nine extraordinary films highlighting contemporary narratives of Nepal. The program includes documentary, fiction, shorts and experimental films from Canada, Nepal, Switzerland and the UK. The Toronto Film Society presents a double bill at 2 pm featuring: QUACKSER FORTUNE HAS A COUSIN IN THE BRONX (1970, 90 min With Gene Wilder, Margot Kidder) Whimsical, offbeat Irish love story sets gentle, non-conforming Quackser on a collision course with reality, when cars replace horses on Dublin's streets and his livelihood disappears. A vibrant college student (Kidder) shares his heart in this forgotten little treasure of a film. Followed by: ST. MARTIN'S LANE (1938, 84 min Director: Tim Whelan. With Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh, Rex Harrison.) London's streets come alive with the loves, ambitions and sacrifices of a group of buskers eking out a living performing to the passer-by's.
