In the Innis Cafe: "1001 Nights of Storytelling." Every Friday night since 1978, storytellers and listeners have been gathering in downtown Toronto for an open evening of oral stories. The Toronto Film Society presents a double bill starting at 2 p.m. featuring: THANK YOU, JEEVES (1935, 57 minutes Director: Arthur Collins; Starring: Arthur Treacher, David Niven, Virginia Field P.G.) Wodehouse's impeccable butler, brilliantly portrayed here by Treacher, and his master become involved in a neat bit of intrigue in this very entertaining comedy-mystery. Followed by: THE HUCKSTERS (1947, 115 minutes Director: Jack Conway; Starring: Clark Gable, Deborah Kerr, Sydney Greenstreet, Ava Gardner) A neat dig at advertising with idealist Gable battling despotic company head Greenstreet.
