Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

It is your responsibility, in case of loss, to have your library account blocked by phoning the Central Library Reader Registration Office (416-978-7694). If you require additional information about the lost TCard, please phone the TCard Office (416-946-8047).

If your TCard gives you access to a Campus Meal Plan, please contact your provider as soon as possible. Until you inform the Library or meal plan provider about your lost or stolen card, the TCard can be used for these services.

If you are eligible for a replacement card, one will be issued for a replacement fee of $12.00 (GST and PST included).

A damaged card will be replaced at no charge, if it is a result of normal use. When there is excessive damage to the card, that is determined not to be the result of normal use a replacement fee of $12.00 (GST and PST included) will apply. Physically altering the card will result in the replacement fee.

If there is any stored chip value on card it should be treated as cash. If you lose the card, you lose the cash value. The card should not be lent to anyone or put in unsafe places.
