I am pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr. Allen Croxall as Student Recruitment and Advancement Officer for the Faculty of Theology, University of St Michael’s College effective November 5, 2009. Mr. Croxall has degrees in Philosophy and Theology and has both teaching experience as well as extensive background in business development.
I have no doubt that Mr. Croxall will be an asset to our Faculty.

Scholarship: Nisheeta Menon, a Master of Divinity student, has been awarded The Veronica, Mary and Hugh Leonard Scholarship for 2009-2010 by the Student Financial Aid Committee. This Scholarship honours the memory of Veronica Leonard and Mary and Hugh Leonard. It is intended to support a woman in either a Basic or Advanced Degree Program. We extend our congratulations to Nisheeta.
Doctoral Students: We have the pleasure to announce that the following doctoral students: Christopher de Bono, Jean-Pierre Fortin and David Charles Robinson are awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) in 2009-2010. OGS is a provincial program designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies at the masters and doctoral levels. Congratulations!

Basic Theology Programs
The Faculty of Theology offers four degree and three diploma programs at the basic or professional level: the Master of Divinity (MDiv), the Master of Theological Studies (MTS), the Master of Religious Education (MRE), the Master of Arts in Catholic Leadership (MACL), the Diploma in Theological Studies (DipTheoStud), the Diploma in Religious Education (DipRelEd) and the Diploma in Eastern Christian Studies (DipECS).
The Faculty of Theology also offers a Certificate in Theology and Ecology, and in Eastern Christian Studies.
Through the Toronto School of Theology federation, duly registered students may take courses at any TST member college. In some instances, they may also follow courses at the University of Toronto toward degrees or diplomas.

Advanced Degree Programs
The Faculty of Theology has a long tradition of excellence in the preparation of future academics and offers a number of Advanced Degrees in Theology.
The Doctor of Philosophy in Theology (PhD) and the Master of Arts in Theology (MA) are awarded by the Senate of the University of St. Michael’s College.
The Doctor of Theology (ThD), the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) and the Master of Theology (ThM) are awarded conjointly by the Senate of the University of St. Michael’s College and the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.
The Faculty of Theology provides a mentoring program to its Advanced Degree students at the Doctoral level. Further details are available through the Director of Advanced Degree Programs.
