
The Surgical Skills Centre is available to book for both Continuing Professional Development and Workshop Programs. All programs must be organised through the University of Toronto Continuing Education Office (416) 978-2719, to receive credit for academic hours. Courses not requiring academic accreditation can be booked directly through the Surgical Skills Centre.
All programs must be booked at least two months prior to the scheduled date. All participants in such programs must sign a waiver provided by the Skills Centre. Rental fee differ for affiliates of the Centre.

SURGICAL SKILLS CENTRE BOOKING FORM
Instruments, equipment and space:
An array of instrumentation and equipment is available for use. Nitrogen, surgical suction and power outlets are available at each of the 13 work stations. It is the responsibility of the organising program to arrange for any specialty equipment or models required; our staff can help facilitate this process. Two workrooms are provided for washing and storing instrumentation.
Fees for additional equipment will be charged as required.
Video and presentation equipment in main lab area:
VCR; CD player; digital data projector; computer projection
Digital video camera
Overhead projector; single slide projector
Podium; clip-on microphone; fixed microphone
Audiovisual equipment provided in the small meeting room area:
Data projector and screen
Whiteboard and flip chart
Meeting with Manager:

• Ceiling-mounted camera system for close curcuit video
• Endoscopic video stacks
• Five Zeiss surgical microscopes
• Registration area, used for storage and administrative activities on the day of the course
• Access to the lab for set-up prior to the program session and for clean-up afterward, depending on lab availability. Note, hourly fee applies to time required for this purpose.
• Catering arrangements or charges (Hospital Catering Available on site - 5 Star Catering Menu).
• Costs for use of disposable items requested to be ordered through the Skills Centre.
• Outside teleconferencing and audiovisual hookup with Mount Sinai Hospital operating room (additional charge applies).
• Fees for an audiovisual or anatomy technician.
• Fee for additional support staff requested to assist with the program (ie fee does not include clean-up of instruments brought in by surgical company).
