Surgical Skills Core Curriculum
The University of Toronto Department of Surgery conducts an one-year surgical skills core curriculum at the Centre. PGY 1 residents from all divisions take part, as well as residents from the Department of Otolaryngology; faculty from all divisions participate as instructors. The core curriculum is set and administered by a Core Curriculum Committee consisting of surgeons, educators, and residents from across divisions.
Divisional Curricula
In addition to the core surgical skills curriculum, individual surgical divisions and other departments conduct specialty-specific curricula at the Skills Centre throughout the year. These intensive courses are extremely well received by the residents and faculty alike.
