TEACHING ASSISTANT POSITIONS IN SOCIOLOGY FOR 2008-09

 

The following Teaching Assistant positions are anticipated in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough for the Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 academic sessions.

In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 collective agreement, the rate of pay applicable for T.A. classifications UG/SGS1/SGS11 & PDFs: $28.96/36.35/36.35 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

 

NOTES:

1. Department Standards and Policies are available in the Department Office and in the CUPE, Local 3902 office.

2. The position (s) posted is (are) tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolments.

 

This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902, Unit 1 Collective Agreement.

 

Although a graduate studentÕs preference as to the campus location of his/her TA appointment will be taken into account, both the initial TA appointment (or CI appointment) and the subsequent appointment obligation related to that appointment may be met through position(s) on any one of the three University of Toronto campuses (UTM, UTSC or St. George) in courses in the same discipline as the initial appointment or applicants may be considered for more than the specifically requested T.A. position.  TAs will only be assigned to courses in fields in which they are or should be qualified to assist.
