Scholarships and Awards


The Canadian-Polish Millennium Fund

Second foundation to be affiliated with the Polish Canadian Congress, incorporated in 1964. It grants about thirty scholarships a year (up to $1000).

Students have to provide: completed application form, registration information, academic records from the previous year, tax return-income tax information, and a letter of recommendation from the Congress or a priest. This foundation has been actively supporting the Polish Language and Literature Program at the Uof T for decades.


The Adam Mickiewicz Foundation

Established in 1956. Applications from individuals are accepted once a year.

Deadline: August 15. Applications are

General requirements: Polish descent, Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status, successful completion of one year of university, good grades, active participation in the life of Polonia, financial need. The Władysław Reymont Foundation

General requirements: Polish descent, Canadian citizenship (or Landed Immigrant), at least second year at the university, good grades, active participation in the life of Polonia. This scholarship can be granted only three times.

Deadline: usually in October.
