Biographical Sketch
Shane Shapera attended medical school and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Toronto. He was the chief medical resident at the Toronto Western Hospital before starting his sub-specialty training in Respirology at U of T. He was the 2009 recipient of the Cameron C. Gray fellowship and studied interstitial lung diseases during that year. This funding also allowed him to spend a couple of months in San Francisco working with Drs. Hal Collard and Talmadge King Jr. who are leaders in the field.
