Cindy Shobbrook

Cindy Shobbrook is a Nurse Practitioner (Adult) specializing in hospice palliative care, pain and symptom management. Having practiced for 10 years with the Cancer Pain and Palliative Care Programs at the Princess Margaret Hospital, in 2009 she joined the de Souza Institute as an Education Consultant leading a provincial initiative for nurses in pain and symptom management. Cindy is passionate about interprofessional education for health professionals and students. Appointed to the Curriculum Centre for Interprofessional Education, the Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, she regularly mentors medical and nursing students in developing confidence and skill in interprofessional collaboration. Nationally certified for both oncology and hospice palliative care, Cindy is currently Lead Advanced Practice Nurse for Palliative Care in the Mississauga-Halton region west of Toronto
