You may discuss your problem with us at any point to get information about relevant policies and procedures and to identify your options. However, please note that the Ombudsperson's Office cannot start an investigation until all other University avenues have been exhausted. A list of other offices, units and departments that may be able to resolve your concerns can be found on our Getting Help pages.

If you still cannot solve your problem and would like assistance from our Office, please complete the Request for Assistance form (see below) and send it to our Office. If you wish, you may also call to make an appointment to discuss your concerns.

The Office operates year-round and we are available to meet at all three University of Toronto campuses, or to talk on the phone. While we will certainly try to see you if you choose to drop in to the St. George office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., we may be unable to do so. To avoid frustration, it is a good idea to phone or e-mail in advance for an appointment. You may also complete and forward the Request for Assistance Form.

Please remember that e-mail is not appropriate for confidential communication. However, we will be able to serve you best if this form is as complete as possible. At a minimum, please provide your contact information.
