This page is for Faculty and Staff who are interested in using the Nexthaus Corp., SyncJe client for their Bell, Rogers or Telus Blackberries. SyncJe is software that runs on the Blackberry which enables access to the UTORschedule Oracle Calendar. Using SyncJe, calendars, task lists, and contacts can be managed through the native Blackberry interface and applications.
Please note that University committees have not yet recommended providing central support for SyncJe. However, the Network Services group in CNS has experience with SyncJe and will be happy to assist departmental IT staff with questions on a best effort basis; also, if the Network Services group can't answer a question we can ask Nexthaus Corp. and/or Oracle, using our vendor support agreement. Also, there is no support from the Information Commons Help Desk for this software.
Departments electing to use this software must assume full responsibility for its support.
CAUTION: We have discovered that version, (2.46), (the latest version), only works with the new Blackberry 88XX series of devices. Do not use with a Blackberry 7250, 7520, etc., at this time. The previous version, 2.25, is compatible with older models, which needs to be installed via the Blackberry Desktop Manager's Application Loader.

We also ask that you only use versions of SyncJe software, that CNS has already tried and verified against the UTORschedule Oracle Calendar server; versions that are incompatible with our server have caused outages and problems for everyone else using the UTORschedule service.
