Configuring Mac OS X Mail to use SSL

Select "Preferences" from the "Mail" menu

Select the "Accounts" pane from the "Preferences" window

Select the "Advanced" tab from the "Accounts" pane

and enable SSL using port 993

If you mark the "Use SSL" checkbox, the Port will be changed (from 143) to 993.

Close the "Preferences" window, saving changes
