Stem Cell Core Training Facility
Welcome to the McLaughlin-McEwen Pluripotent Stem Cell Core Training Facility Website
The Objectives of our facility are to:
- Establish a human embryonic stem cell bank of well-characterized hESCs
- Make these cells available for distribution to researchers wishing to work with them
- Provide assistance in the procedural aspects of obtaining permission to work with hESCs
- Develop working protocols for the proper maintenance of these cells, including reagent screening and cell characterization
- Provide training to researchers looking to learn or familiarize themselves with the intricacies of working with hESCs
- Provide a centre for testing the appropriateness of media and/or other components for working with hESCs
