PRIMARY CARE PEDIATRICS
Best Treatment for Resistant Lice
by Dr. Moshe Ipp
We have used a remedy that works 100% of the time; a 50:50
solution of oil and vinegar.(mineral oil should be used,it
smells less than other oils). It should be massaged into the
hair, covered for 1 hour with a shower cap, and left on for
1hour, then shampooed out with regular shampoo. It can be
repeated as often as necessary The vinegar purportedly
detaches the nits from the hair shaft, while the oil
suffocates any live lice and fascilitates easy and smooth
combing out of the detached nits and killed lice. It is a
natural and totally safe procedure. It has been a life saver
for our parents who are besides themselves after using
repeated courses of potentially toxic therapeutic shampoos
without success.
