For Our International Students…
We at the Innis College Registrar’s Office strongly encourage our international students to keep in contact with us. The Associate Registrar, Recruitment and Transition, is happy to meet with you regularly on an individual basis to discuss your transition to a new country and educational system and to address any questions or concerns that you may have about that transition as well as your academic career here.
International Students' Orientation
On Saturday 7 September, the Registrar’s Office and Student Life will host an event tailored to the particular needs of international students, including those who are unable to attend the Summer Academic Orientation Sessions. The day will include a workshop with a mini academic orientation and a presentation by a representative from the Centre for International Experience (CIE). You'll get advice on obtaining health cards, work visa applications, living in a new country, the resources of the CIE, and other subjects relevant to international students. The CIE representative will also be able to answer individual questions. To RSVP for this event, email studentlife.innis@utoronto.ca with your name and student number.

Tips and Tools for Choosing Your Courses: We recognize that many international students will not be able to attend our Summer Academic Orientation Sessions. On our Tips and Tools page we have included videos of our 2012-2013 Academic Orientation Sessions and a PDF summary of the information that we gave out at those sessions. Please note that there will of course be some changes for the 2013-2014 Fall/Winter Session, but you will still find it helpful to use them as guides in conjunction with the 2013-2014 Calendar and Registration Instructions and Timetable. You enrol in your courses online through ROSI, our Student Web Service, meaning that you can do so from anywhere in the world.
Fees for International Students
International Fee Exemptions This section of the Student Accounts website outlines the eligibility criteria and important deadlines when requesting an exemption from international program fees. All international fee exemption requests must be made at the Innis College Registrar's Office, and appropriate documentation must be provided. The deadline to request an international fee exemption for the entire Fall/Winter Session is 1 November.
