Getting Started
There are things you will have to do to get ready for the first day of classes aside from choosing your courses and finding your way around campus. Our checklist for new students is a good place to start and you may find the other links below helpful as well.

Getting Your TCard Your TCard is your student identification card. It has your photo and student number on it and you can also add cash value to its computer chip for such things as photocopying and computer printing. You will need your TCard for a variety of purposes, including access to the libraries and athletic facilities on campus, taking books out of the library, and as identification in exams.
In order to pick up your TCard from the TCard office in Robarts Library, you will need a piece of photo identification and your offer of admission. The TCard Office is open for new students beginning in June. Please be sure to check the TCard Office's hours before coming, since, e.g., it is not open on weekends.
Setting up Your UofT (UTOR) account Once you have picked up your TCard, you can then activate your UTOR account. Your UTORmail is your official University of Toronto e-mail account, and it is University policy that you must use your UTOR for all university-related correspondence. You must also list your UTORmail address on ROSI. Any official correspondence from the University will be sent to this e-mail account.
University of Toronto Students' Unions (UTSU) Health Plan An opt-out option is available to students who are covered by other insurance, as long as the other insurance meets the specifications listed on the UTSU Health Plan website. Please note that the deadline to opt out is early in the fall (click on the UTSU link above for specific details).
Association of Part-Time Undergraduate Students (APUS) Health Plan
UofT Bookstore You will find most of your textbooks at the Bookstore, as well as writing supplies, computer supplies, and many other items. Some professors provide the book list in advance, but generally you will find out what textbooks you need on your first day of class. You can buy and rent both new and used textbooks at the Bookstore. You can also obtain some books through the University of Toronto Students' Union Book Exchange.
Faculty of Arts and Science As a student of Innis College, you are a member of the Faculty of Arts and Science. The Faculty's website contains valuable information for current undergraduate students.
