Leading Opera expert Iain Scott in discussion with Later Life Learning Members.

Welcome to the Later Life Learning (LLL) website.

LLL is a non-profit educational program for retired individuals. Its current membership numbers over 1,500.

A volunteer Board of Directors manages LLL, ensuring that three, 10-week lecture series are offered twice a year in the winter and autumn. The winter 2013 lecture series includes Myths and Legends of Opera; Frontiers of Medicine and Plays that Shook the World. It costs $50 to attend a series.

All lectures are presented in 'The Town Hall' at Innis College on the northeast corner of St. George Street and Sussex Avenue, one long block south of Bloor Street.

LLL was established in 1981 when a number of individuals joined with the University of Toronto to form a group that sponsors university level courses for people in their retirement years.

2012 was a memorable year for Later Life Learning (LLL). We celebrated 30 years of a dedicated and supportive partnership with Innis College bringing our members a series of outstanding lectures and demonstrating our commitment to lifelong learning. As well, thanks to the generosity of our members, the Scholarship Fund surpassed the $1 million mark which has helped establish the College's single largest scholarship program. The interest earnings (endowment) of the fund will provide annual support for students for many, many years. LLL members' support of Innis College's top funding priorities, play an essential role in assuring that all students have the opportunity to receive a first class education.
