- Cinema Canada Cinema Canada was the trade journal of record for the Canadian film and television industry from its launch in 1972 by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers until its final issue in 1983. The journal was published bi-monthly and issues came out on the 29th day of January, March, May, July, September, and November. Topics included Canadian Film News, Features on Film Festivals, Technical News, Regional News, and Interviews with people involved with filmmaking.
- CINEMA: Journal of Philosophy and the Moving Image (Instituto de Filosofia da Linguagem, Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal) no. 1 (2010)+ is an international peer-reviewed publication dedicated to the philosophical inquiry, not just into film, but into cinema in the broadest sense, that is, including video, television, and new media.

- Cinephile: The University of British Columbia's Film Journal v. 1(April 2005)+ Cinephile is a peer-reviewed journal edited by graduate students in the Film Studies program at the University of British Columbia.
- Cine-tracts (or Cinetracts): A Journal of Film, Communication, Culture and Politics (subtitle also varies). v. 1(1977)-17(1982). Ciné-Tracts was founded in 1977 and edited by Ron Burnett until it ceased publication in late 1982. During that time, the journal published seventeen issues (1,247 pages). Ciné-Tracts helped to solidify the growing Film/Cultural Studies area by working from an interdisciplinary orientation. A variety of people worked for the Journal and contributed to it. These include, Martin Walsh, Teresa de Lauretis, Stephen Heath, Raymond Williams, John Berger, Hart Cohen, Peter Harcourt, Zuzana Pick, Martha Burnett, Saul Landau, Bruce Elder, Peter Ohlin, Patricia Mellencamp and David Bordwell. Ciné-Tracts had over two thousand subscribers and Indiana University Press published a selection of essays from the journal in 1991, under the title, Explorations in Film Theory (available at Innis Library).

Film Studies For Free actively espouses the ethos of Open Access to digital scholarly material. - Intensities: The Journal of Cult Media Intensities is an online journal first launched at Cardiff University in 2001 under the editorship of Matt Hills and Sara Gwenllian Jones. It later moved to Brunel University, where it was edited by David Lavery, and is currently edited (still at Brunel) by Leon Hunt. Intensities will publish two issues a year. The journal addresses all aspects of cult media including cult television, cult film, cult radio, cult comics, literary cults and cult authors, new media cults, cult figures and celebrities, cult icons, musical cults, cult geographies, historical studies of media cults and their fandoms, cult genres (e.g. science fiction, horror, fantasy, pulp fiction, Manga, anime, Hong Kong film etc.), non-generic modes of cultishness, theorisations of cult media, relevant audience and readership studies, and work that addresses the cult media industry. In addition to publishing refereed essays (of between 6000 and 8000 words), Intensities also features a non-refereed Cult Media Review section which will carry shorter speculative reviews, reviews of cult phenomena (e.g. cult TV series, cult films, cult novels, science fiction, comics), short critical essays, interview transcripts, conference and convention reviews and articles about aspects of industry, fan culture, production and authorship.
- Intermédialités: histoire et théorie des arts, des lettres et des techniques / Intermediality: History and Theory of the Arts, Literature and Technologies has published, in French and English, articles grouped around a single verb/topic/issue, encompassing a variety of objects, mediums, and conceptual themes.
