Hello graduands!

A specific reminder to students looking to graduate June: there is a selection of the Innis College scholarships which recognize leadership that go out to students graduating in June, including:

  1. Innis Recognition Awards
  2. Wasser Achievement Awards
  3. Wasser Leadership Scholarships
  4. Mary Ann Duffy Graduating Student Award
  5. GRADitude Award

The deadline for applications is Friday 7 April 2011 in this office.

Read carefully the requirements. In the one application (for all awards to consider) you should, if possible, include:

  1. A list of your accomplishments (a résumé or CV works);
  2. A statement wherein you describe your accomplishments and what you are particularly proud of;
  3. Supporting documentation (letters of reference for major work especially useful);
  4. And, of course, the form itself.

Hi everyone,

A message from Lassman Studios to anyone who still has not had grad photos taken for themselves and the class composite, who would like to:

Attention all Innis College Graduates!!!     
LAST CHANCE FOR GRADUATION PHOTOS - MARCH 23rd!!!

Graduation Photos at Innis College have past, however you have one final opportunity to have your photo taken to be a part of the class composite/yearbook and have individual portraits.

To book your appointment, please contact Lassman Studios directly at 416 967 1241 or questions@lassmanstudios.com to arrange for a time.

You must have your photo taken by March 23rd to be included in the yearbook and composite.

(If you would like a particular pose to be included with the composite, please contact Lassman Studio with pose letter and your information.)

Hello Innis graduands,

This week has a couple of important things happening on 17 March:

  1. DEADLINE TO CHANGE YOUR NAME – If your name on ROSI is not the name you want to appear on your diploma, the deadline to change your name with our office is Thursday 17 March, before we close our office. The Office of Convocation is *extremely* strict about this, so if this applies to you, do not delay – get in touch with us right now.
  1. OSAP REPAYMENT WORKSHOPS – For any students who have taken OSAP and would like a primer on what to expect in terms of repayment after graduation, there’s a couple of sessions this week happening  back to back:
    1. Thursday 17 March, 12 to 1 PM &
    2. Thursday 17 March, 1 to 2 PM

Both in the Galbraith Building, room 244 (35 St. George St., just north of College)

Let me know if you have any questions! And don’t forget to keep an eye on www.convocation.utoronto.ca to get information on the actual ceremony in June.

Hello all,

This message is aimed specifically at students intending to graduate this coming June 2011 from Commerce (BCom).

The Faculty and the Office of Convocation assumes that you will be participating in the ceremony for Commerce students on 10 June 2011. IF you wish to participate instead with the Convocation for Innis College (14 June), you MUST fill in a form and return it to our office by 25 February so I can change you to the Innis Convocation ceremony.

Unfortunately you cannot participate in both ceremonies: you have to either stick with the Commerce ceremony or choose to switch to the Innis ceremony.

The form should have been emailed to you in a similar announcement from the Faculty, but you can always drop by our office to fill in such a form if you have lost that email. Or, contact our office directly!

Hello all!

Two items. The first you may have already received this message through our main listserv or through the Student Life Newsletter, but in case you haven’t:

LAST CHANCE FOR GRAD PHOTOS!
A new date has been added  for Innis College students.  
The session will take place on March 4th at the Innis College Residence (Events Room). 

You must have your photo taken to appear in the Graduating Class Composite.  Included in your photo session are 9 unique digital online proofs and an 11x14 copy of the class composite.  The sitting fee is $20.00. Hard copy proofs may be purchased for an additional $5.00 if desired.

To do so follow these 3 easy steps:

2. click on Book Your Photo Session
3. enter in11 in the school ID to access the schedules.

Find a time that is convenient for you and book it.

Ladies, please wear a white shirt or blouse.  Gentlemen, please wear a white shirt and tie.

Robes, degree hoods, and traditional graduation props will be available for you at your shoot.  If you would like to bring in a personal prop for your photos symbolic to you feel free to do so.

If you cannot make that date please call 416.967.1241 or email questions@lassmanstudios.com to arrange for a different date.

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO CHANGE/CORRECT YOUR NAME FOR JUNE GRADUATION
Good news following up on the email from last week. The deadline to change or correct your name before June 2011 Graduation (for the diploma/convocation programme) is now 17 March 2011.

This means that if you have overall changes to make to your name, you can do so at the Registrar’s Office up to that date. Just remember to bring your photo ID so we know that the real you is changing your name!

If you wish to make a change that cannot be represented on ROSI, like changing or adding accents to your name, there is a form you fill out and must return to the Office of Convocation by the same date, 17 March. That form and instructions are found here.
