April
If you are someone who does things at the last-minute, be warned: 1 April 2013 is the deadline to submit all necessary documentation towards your 101 application including proof of English facility if necessary.
Document deadlines for 105 applicants vary: if you are a current Canadian (non-Ontario) high school student, or an international applicant of any standing, your document deadline is 30 April 2013. If you are a domestic 105 applicant who is currently not attending high school, including any student who wishes to transfer from a college or university, your document submission deadline is 14 June 2013. U of T will send you more information about documents and deadlines once your application has been received.
After attending U of T's March Break events, you might still feel like you need some one-on-one guidance. Now is a great time to schedule an appointment with an academic counsellor at Innis College to get more advice about your university plans, courses, and program choice.
We offer individual counselling appointments for prospective students during our regular office hours (Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday 10am-4.30pm, Wednesday-Friday 9am-4.30pm). We will also reserve a Saturday in April 2013 (coming soon) from 10am to 3pm for individual visits by prospective students. Contact us at 416.978.2513 or registrar.innis@utoronto.ca to book an appointment.
Toward the end of April, your high school will provide to OUAC your midterm grades for second-semester courses and interim grades for full-year courses.
Admission offers for 101 applicants will start to go out at the end of April and will be going out continually until late May.
May
In mid-May, OUAC will forward the grades your school submitted in April to the University of Toronto.
If you are still looking for someone to talk to about what you are going to study when you get to school, you can contact us at 416.978.2513 or registrar.innis@utoronto.ca to schedule an appointment with an Innis College academic counsellor .
If you are a 101 applicant, you should receive a response to your application by late May. If you have been admitted to the University, you will receive an admission package that directs you to the University of Toronto's new admission portal, where you will find more information in the form of PDFs on your personal page. If you have been admitted to Innis College, the PDFs on your personal page will be an offer of membership at Innis, a registration form for our Summer Academic Orientation Sessions, and our Checklist for Newly Admitted Students.
Most 101 applicants share a deadline in early June (tbd) to either accept or decline their offer from the University of Toronto and Innis College, unless another date is specified in the offer letter. Be proactive and contact each of the schools and/or programs and/or residences that you are considering attending in order to get all information you need before you make your final decision.
If you live in Ontario and accept one school's offer and then change your mind and accept another school's offer instead, your most recent acceptance will cancel out all of your previous acceptances.
If you applied on a 105 application, remember that 105 applications are processed on a rolling basis. Your application is considered when your file is complete (meaning when you've sent in all of the required documents: transcripts, ESL test scores, etc). The sooner Enrolment Services receives your documents, the sooner you will hear from the University of Toronto.
June
The deadline for most 101 applicants to accept their offer of admissionis early June 2013 (tbd).
When you have received your admission offer and sent in your response accepting Innis College and the University of Toronto, some congratulations are in order! To see what you should do next, take a look at our Newly Admitted Students website.
Welcome to Innis College!
