Linda Schuyler, CEO, Epitome Pictures; Co-Creator, Degrassi Series

Linda Schuyler (BA 1974 INNIS –Cinema Studies) is CEO of Epitome Pictures and Co-Creator and Executive Producer of the multi-award winning Degrassi franchise. After graduating in 1974, Schuyler briefly pursued a teaching career before starting her own film and television production company, Epitome Pictures, with her husband & producing partner Stephen Stohn. Schuyler is a founding member of the Association for Media Literacy. She is the past Chair of the CFTPA Board of Directors and a long-standing member of that organization. She is a member of WIFT-T, CWC and sits on Centennial College's Broadcast & Film Program Professional Advisory Committee for Radio and Television. She was also a volunteer for UNICEF and Big Sisters for many years. Schuyler has been a guest lecturer at several universities, and has participated on panels at numerous industry conferences. In 1994, Schuyler was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada, and in 2007, Linda was recognized by with a U of T Arbor Award.
