Integrated Monitoring and Assessment Project
Roads Data, 1935 to 1995

"The changing state of major roads in southern Ontario between 1935 and 1995 serves as an effective and visual indicator of population and land-use changes. These 10-year time slices help monitor the increase in paved roads, including multi-lane highways, and provide insights into the increasing road density within specific regions. For example, it is interesting to note the changes surrounding Algonquin Park and to project future rates of change to meet the increasing population demands."
