  Biosketch:

I received a B.A. in Psychology from the City College of New York in 1963; an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University in 1965; and a Ph.D. from Syracuse in 1968. >From 1968 until October of 1998, I was in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and in the Department of Psychiatry. Since October, 1998, I am the Director of the Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied Research Unit and the Assistant Vice-President of Research at the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care; a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry; and have cross-appointments in a number of other departments. My main research interests include scale development; psychological effects of environmental hazards; the long-term sequelae of extremely low birth weight; risk-taking by international travelers; and the quality of life of children with epilepsy.
