Abstract submissions for the 34th Annual Frontiers in Physiology Research Symposium (FIP) are now open! The deadline for submission is Monday, February 24th, 2014.
Click here to download the FIP Abstract Template.
Frontiers in Physiology is an annual research day for the Department of Physiology that provides students and faculty from all four of our independent and collaborative platforms the opportunity to share their research. This year, FIP will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014. It is strongly recommended that graduate students participate in this event.
Please follow the template attached and send your abstracts to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please also indicate if you are interested in giving a poster or an oral presentation. Judges will review the abstracts and three students per research platform will be chosen to give an oral presentation. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three poster presentations and the top one oral presentation per platform.
NEW THIS YEAR: The 60-second challenge. You have one minute to sell your science.
In plain language only, no jargon or slideshow presentation, tell the department about your project in 60 seconds. Participants are encouraged to be creative; this is an informal competition. You can use props to demonstrative your idea. Be as creative as you like: sing it, rap it, rock it, rhyme it, or just talk. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top candidate. Those who are selected to participate in the 60-second challenge will receive more detailed instructions closer to the event.
We look forward to seeing you at the 34th annual FIP!
