Frontiers In Physiology is the annual research day for the Department of Physiology where students and faculty members from different platform have a chance to share their research. Graduate students are expected to participate on this day. This year, FIP will be held on Friday, May 3rd and we are honoured to have Dr. Leroy Hood (M.D., Ph.D.) of the Institute for Systems Biology present the keynote lecture.

The event will run from 8 am to 6 pm, with registration between 8-9 am. The day will consist of a series of our keynote lecture, student oral and poster presentations. Food and refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available throughout the day and at our reception for faculty, judges and students who have submitted an abstract only.

Prizes:

The first 50 students who submitted an abstract will be entered into a draw for two $10 gift cards to Tim Horton's presented during the FIP Reception.

Cash prizes will be awarded for outstanding presentations in each platform:

  • Top THREE Posters: $100 (1st), $75 (2nd) and $50 (3rd)
  • Top ONE Oral: $150
