Welcome

Our main areas of research are focused on the regulation of programmed cell death (apoptosis) and organism development.

We use the germline of the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegansas a model system to study the regulation of p53-dependent and p53-independent apoptosis in the context of a multicellular organism.   We are also investigating alternative biological functions for apoptosis proteins in development, the regulation of chromosome stability and survival under stress.
