Journal titles are often abbreviated in citations. The following tools allow you to enter an
abbreviation (e.g., Orthod Craniofac Res.) and find out the complete title (e.g.,
Orthodontics & craniofacial research).
Entrez Journals
database (PubMed)
This database from the National Library of Medicine includes all the journal titles indexed in
Medline. You can enter either a Medline abbreviation or an ISO abbreviation and find out the
journal's full title. Or, you can enter the journal title and find out the abbreviations.
