Dental Research Institute (DRI)
Institute theme: Health Status, Clinical Outcome Measures & Health Care
Delivery
This theme focuses on the studies of health care policies and measures of “quality of life” outcomes
for different population groups in local, national and international environments.
Studies related to children and elderly populations are becoming an increased area of interest to the investigators within this theme. The group remains an important scientific advisory groups for Canada’s aboriginal health studies. 80% of their work is devoted to clinical/epidemiological studies, with the remaining 20% focused on the applied area of analytical measurement and protocol development.
New areas under development include strategies for the delivery of health care in the home and pain/implant studies in pediatric dentistry.
The names of investigators who are members of the Graduate Department of
Dentistry and who are currently supervising M.Sc. and/or Ph.D. students are
indicated with
an asterisk (*).
