The Centre for the Study of the United States' Undergraduate Journal of American Studies is a not-for-profit academic journal that showcases the work of University of Toronto's vibrant undergraduate community. Focusing on the interdisciplinary field of American Studies, we accept both written and photographic submissions from all departments and undergraduate levels.

We also accept photographic submissions, but please consider that the journal will be printed in black and white when you submit colour images. All photography should be 5.5 x 8.5 in. in size, at minimum 300 dpi (or 1650 x 2550 pixels). Submission deadline for this year's edition is January 6th 2012. Please include your contact information with your submission. If you have any questions about the journal or how to submit, feel free to send us an email at the above account.
Submitting to academic journals as an undergraduate is a great way to begin becoming a published author and/or artist, and can help add to your resume or portfolio.
