GOVERNANCE

The Centre for the Study of the United States has the following governance structure:

The program committee consists of Americanist faculty members from the University of Toronto who meet with the Director twice per year to discuss CSUS programming and the undergraduate American Studies program. The composition of the committee is determined by the Director of CSUS. For the academic year 20010-11, members of the Program Committee included the following faculty members:
Elspeth Brown (American Studies/History); Carol Chin (History/Internatioinal Relations); Matthew Farish (Geography); Emily Gilbert (Canadian Studies/Geography); Elizabeth Legge (Art); Robert Lewis (Geography); Kevin O'Neill (Religion/ Diaspora and Transnational Studies); Benjamin Pottruff (American Studies Academic Advisor); Nic Sammond (Cinema Studies); Linda White (Political Science); Sarah Wilson (English).
The Director of CSUS reports to the Director of the Munk School of Global Affairs (Janice Stein).
