CogSci @ U of T : Students

The program attracts motivated, open-minded, and academically and otherwise talented students and enjoys a strong student tradition of participation and initiative. This is demonstrated by the biennial undergraduate-organized two-day University of Toronto Interdisciplinary Symposium on the MIND that brings together speakers from throughout the University and the country.

Student organization

CASA, or the U of T CogSci AI Students' Association, includes all students currently in the program or taking Cognitive Science courses Students have found visits to the CASA office and participation in CASA activities stimulating and rewarding.

Student experience

Starting with what is usually their first Cognitive Science course -- Introduction to Cognitive Science, students are immersed in an interdisciplinary culture of cognitive science. Learning extends much beyond classrooms and textbooks. Engaging, edifying, and sometimes heated discussion takes place daily in faculty offices and the CASA office as well as during the various CASA activities. The program faculty are highly accessible, respectful of student interests, supportive of their exploration and initiative, and committed to providing their students with a truly enjoyable education.
