Also Published in International Legal Materials, 33, no. 3 (May 1994): 696-720 This protocol is intended to govern economic relations between Israel and an emerging "Palestinian entity" in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during the stages of the interim period (as defined in the Principles on Interim Self Government Arrangements signed in Washington on September 13, 1993). It calls for a Joint Economic Committee to oversee economic cooperation between the two parties and establishes a framework for their economic relations in areas such as imports, money, direct and indirect taxes, labour migration, trade in agricultural and industrial products, tourism and insurance. Copies are also available from the Israeli Ministry of Finance.
