Vision, Mandate and Goals

Vision

The Centre for Health Promotion (CHP) at the University of Toronto is an internationally recognized leader in knowledge development, translation and exchange in health promotion.

Mandate

The Centre for Health Promotion is a community-academic partnership. Its leadership in knowledge development, translation and exchange is through its commitment to excellence in education, evaluation and research. In a multi-disciplinary, collaborative context, the Centre activates, develops and evaluates innovative health promotion approaches in Canada and abroad.

Goals

  • To develop and deliver high quality education and training in health promotion for university students, practitioners and partners.
  • To contribute to evaluation of health promotion initiatives via development of new models.
  • To be involved in collaborative, community-based applied research.
  • To contribute to the development of the health promotion field.
