The MA in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (ERES) is a two-year interdisciplinary program. Students gain a firm grounding in a major discipline as it applies to the region, broaden their understanding by taking graduate courses in several other disciplines and do a substantial piece of original research. The program requires students to do course work on Europe, Russia and Eurasia, thereby fostering a comparative approach to the affairs of the countries throughout the region. CERES cooperates with programs and centres in cognate fields such as East Asian Studies, International Studies, Jewish Studies, Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, the Joint Initiative in German and European Studies, and the Institute of European Studies. Courses that overlap with CERES's area of focus may be credited toward the program requirements. Program Requirements
