Review by Rose Maggisano
John Monbourquette OMI has written a beautiful book to help us on the road to forgiveness. Part One explores the nature of forgiveness including false notions of forgiveness. Part two deals with twelve steps of true forgiveness one of which deals with forgiving yourself and another with the importance of God’’s forgiveness as our reward for forgiving. John Monbourquette is professor at the Pastoral Institute at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. He is a best-selling author, psychologist and priest.

Donkey Bells:  Advent and Christmas
Stories, Traditions and Meditations

Author:  Catherine Doherty
Madonna House Publications | Combermere, Ontario,

Review by Rose Maggisano
This book has three parts:  Book I has many meditations that are wonderful for private, quiet moments.  Book II has customs and feasts of Advents and Christmas, such as the meaning of the advent wreath, Christmas decorating, baking and singing.  Book III has stories of Catherine's experiences with Christmas themes.  My favourite is Book II, especially the story of St. Nicholas and the blessing of the Christmas tree, both of which have meaning in my own life and would be stories that I would read to my children.  Which is your favourite?  E-mail your comments.
